"Odds and Ends" from this Weekend!!!

Drew is officially in a booster chair. He wanted to join the "Big Kids". He is doing really well with using his fork and spoon.
Drew has been spending quite a bit of time in "Time Out" (For hitting) I don't remember Sofia going through a hitting phase. Maybe it's a boy thing. Any suggestions on how to get him to quit?

Sofia went to the Doctors today. She not feeling good. Doctor said she has a ear infection and Strep. So no preschool tomorrow. !!(
I hope she is OK by Thursday. She has school pictures.
We were on a walk on Saturday. A squirrel decided to cross the street and run up the tree, right in front of us. Ty was trying his hardest to climb the tree.
It's never a dull moment around here.

No MORE TOYS PLEASE

Today, Drew and I cleaned the toy room. I can't believe how many toys are kids have. The problem is that they only play with 1/3 of the toys. So I took everything out of buckets and the toy box and sorted it. The stuff that doesn't get played with and the stuff that does. Well the first photo is all the stuff that is getting donated. That big back bag is filled to the top with toys. So just a reminder please don't waste your money on toys for the kids. If you do know that it will end up going to the good will. So save your money.
Alyssa and Grandma stopped by and the kids played tea party. Sofia showed Grandma her fundraiser stuff she got today. So with grandma's order were off to a good start. Thanks grandma. They sure do start the kids off early with fundraisers. Along with fundraiser stuff, Sofia worked on the letter S, talked about how "God made me", colored a picture, and played with play dough. She had another good day at preschool.

I just had to add this picture. Steve actually did "A dish". I mean as long as we have been married I can count on my hand the number of times he has done dishes. (I'm such a good wife!!)

Sofia's second day at Preschool

Drew climbed into the sand table. Our little monkey....
Sofia's kitty
Sofia giving daddy kisses bye bye.....

This picture was taken the other day at Grandma's. I think Brody needs a kitty..... All the kids had there kitty's grandma had gotten them.

Today, was Sofia's second day of preschool. She got to bring her favorite stuff animal. Can you guess what she took? Her meow meow. She loves that kitty, Grandma got it for her a long time ago. She brought us home a picture she colored. She said she played outside on the slide, played with play dough and had snacks. But when I picked her up she thought we were going to McDonald's, like we did on her first day of class. I said we can't go every time she has preschool. She said that's OK, I will have a ham and cheese sandwich.
Today, while Sofia was at preschool, I cleaned her room, mop the kitchen, cleaned the bathroom and vacuum. After that Drew and I played until it was time to pick up Sofia. I can't believe how much you can get done with only one child. I already have my list of things to do on Thursday. My house will be clean clean clean. For anyone that knows me I like things clean. When my house is clean I have less stress and that makes me very happy......(And everyone else)

Pennies from Heaven

Today, was grandpa's memorial service. I never had heard about Pennies from Heaven until today. The owner of the funeral home told us the story about Pennies from Heaven. When I got home I had to read the story. I plan on making a special jar to place all the pennies we find.
I also wanted to Thank everyone who came today. Along with the many cards we have received. It's nice to have the support of family and friends. Our family will never be the same, but knowing that grandpa is in Heaven with God helps. We love you Ed.

Pennies From Heaven
I found a penny today,
just laying on the ground.
But it is not just a penny,
this little coin I found.
Found pennies come from heaven,
that's what my Grandpa told me.
He said Angels toss then down,
oh how I loved that story.
He said when an Angel misses you,
they toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up,
make a smile out of your frown.
So don't pass by that penny
when you're feeling blue.
It may be a penny from heaven,
that an Angel's tossed to you.

Sofia's First Day of Preschool

Sofia playing before we had to leave.
Sofia coming out after class.... I got a big hug and I love you from her. (I cried again)
Sofia did very well today. (We were the ones that didn't) When we got home after dropping her off, the phone rang and every time we thought it might be Sofia's school. Sofia really liked school and when we ask her if she wanted to go back she said "YES" I thought she will be fine she has one special angle (Grandpa) watching over her. Grandpa is not going to let anything happen to his little girl.

Grandpa we LOVE YOU

Yesterday afternoon Grandpa lost his battle with cancer. He was a wonderful dad and grandpa. (the best) He loved being around the grandkids. He was patient, kind, loving and enjoyed spoiling the kids and me. We love him very much and he will be greatly missed by all. This world will never be the same, but his memories will live on. We are very lucky to have had him in our lives. We have an angel watching over us. I know that one day we will meet again.
Thank you for all the prayers.

Boone County Fair

We took Brody and Aunt Leigh to the Fair. Brody liked seeing all the animals. I wished we could of stayed longer.

Grandma's Boy's.......

We wanted to thank everyone for all the prayers. I keep telling myself God has a plan. I may not understand his plan, but everything happens for a reason.

Making some Memories

Brody liked Uncle Steve's police car.

Last night, we cooked dinner for Uncle Nick, Aunt Leigh and Brody. Brody showed Sofia how to jump off the playset.

The kids all loved playing in the puddle at Grandma and Grandpa's. Even Uncle Nick was playing in the water. We sure wish that Brody, Uncle Nick and Aunt Leigh lived closer. We are really going to miss them when they leave on saturday.

Hospice

I wanted to share our families story. Fifteen days ago Hospice came into my mom and Ed's home. (Grandma and Grandpa) They have been SO GREAT. I don't think words can describe how wonderful everyone has been. For anyone who is going through a terminal illness please let hospice help. They help the whole family with everything. I hope that no one will ever need hospice, but if they do know that they are out there to help. I feel that they have given us so much, that I hope someday I will be able to pay them back. Maybe with volunteer work. The people that I have meet have had a family member in hospice. That is why they started working and volunteering. I know our family will never be the same. With our faith in God and the support of friends and family we will get through this as tough as it may be.

Making Memories

I haven't posted in awhile due to a family member illness. I just wanted to say memories are so important to make. Life is way too short. We never know when it's our time, so make every second count.
This year we will be making memories not getting the kids material things. To us material things won't and don't last a lifetime like memories. So please make some memories with the people you love. Thank you for all the prayers and support.
In this time we also have to make sure we are enjoying ourselves. We took the kids and Alyssa to Chuck E. Cheese last night for dinner. It was a nice mental break.

Lunch with Grandma and Grandpa.....

Today, we went to Fuddruckers for lunch. Grandpa gave Sofia bear kiss with his beard. Sofia thought that was so silly. We were surprised that Sofia and Drew didn't break out. They have been know in the pass to break out when people kiss them with facial hair. Grandma fixed Drew kitty also. Kitty had a hole and was very dirty. Drew is very happy that Grandma was able to clean and fix his kitty. He loves his kitty from Grandma and Grandpa. Thanks guys for today.
Steve is on vacation for the next week. We have a couple of days trips plan.
