Ambulance Ride........

I notice I haven't updated the blog since last week. Well there is a reason. On Thursday we went playgroup. After playgroup Drew started coughing. Steve had just went over Croup in his first responder class on wednesday that he has for work. We both thought that is what he had. So on Friday I called the doctor. They didn't have any opening. But scheduled us for Saturday morning. And told us if he got worse to take him to the convenient care clinic. When Drew got up from his nap he really sounded bad. So I took him into the bathroom and started the hot shower. The steam didn't seem to work so we decided to take him to the doctors. We got there when it opened at 5 and had to wait until 6 to be seen. When the nurse asked us to undress Drew, his breathing got worse because he was crying. The nurse ran out of the room to get the doctor. The doctor came in and had the nurse 911. Drew and I got a ride in the ambulance to the hospital. Drew received 5 breathing treatments along with steroids and epinephrin. The doctor decided to keep him overnight. Which was good because at 1:30 a.m. his oxygen level was down so they gave him more medicine. It was a long night and when we got home Drew and I slept most of the day. Drew is doing better. Mom you are soooooo right about BOYS........
Of course there are no photo's of Drew in jail... The cribs have steel bars on them, so it looked like jail. I was shocked... A child on Steroids does not lay still....

Dr H

some pictures I took of Alyssa. (I sure do wish I had that Nikon D90!!! Someday)

The girls were ganging up on Poor Drew

Today, I took Sofia in for her 3 year old check up. Dr H is so nice. He told Sofia she was beautiful, smart and just perfect. We talked about how Sofia never went through the terrible 2's but 3 is another story. The nurse told me that 3's are worse than two. So I wonder where did the "terrible 2" come from? I guess we are in for some rocky roads ahead. Hopefully it won't last long. They checked her blood pressure, which was a new thing. She is 37 inches tall. And weighs 29 pounds. She is in the 5o% for both height and weight. I guess when people say she is tall, she really isn't. She also got her first Valentines from Dr. H. She loved it because it was Mickey Mouse. Dr H. has everything Mickey Mouse. When I was a child he would give us Mickey Mouse stickers and a penny. He is such an awesome doctor. When it was time to leave She gave him a hug and kiss. Tina and Alyssa came over for a visit. Sofia loves it when Alyssa comes over to play.

Happy Birthday Sofia

Sofia wear her Sunglasses the whole night.........

Today is Sofia birthday. We went to play world, then we had lunch and a nap. When Steve got home from work we went to Chuck E Cheese's. Sofia has been asking to go for awhile. We had fun. We are so thankful to have her. She is such a blessing. I wonder if her Birth mother is thinking of her. I pray that she knows Sofia is very loved and cared for. We're so thankful to her birth parents for bringing her into the world. We are forever indebted to them that she is in our life. We are thankful to the SWI, for taking such good care of Sofia. They played an important part in her life. Sofia mommy and Daddy love you sooooo much. Hugs and kisses forever Princess....

Aunt Julie (aka "Calgon take me away")

On Sunday, Aunt Julie came over to visit. She played with the kids and then it was time for us to GO. We went to bd's Mongolian barbecue. It was OK. We like Stir Crazy better. After lunch we went shopping. It was nice to get out of the house. Daddy was home with the kids. So we have made plans that she will take me away once a month. Or more if needed. (Right Julie) The first time Drew saw Julie he looked at her then at me and so on. I think he was a little confused. Sofia did the same thing. They both were saying um, she looks like me. We are so very lucky to have Aunt Julie in our lives.
