Happy Halloween

We took the kids to their first Halloween party. We had so much fun. Thanks Kris and Jason for having us over. You guys did an awesome job on everything. After the party, Steve took the kids out. We got lots and lots of candy. Sofia helped hand out candy, I think she liked that better than going to houses. It was a little cold. Thank you everyone for all the candy, and other neat stuff. (If someone got a good group shot could you email me it Please and Thank you.)

Fun Day!!!

Sofia liked the yellow sprinkles, a little to much.....

Princess Alyssa, Princess Sofia.

Today, we went to grandma's to bake some Halloween cookies. (For Daddy) The cookies were wonderful. Thanks grandma for helping us. We had so much fun. We hurried home, so Alyssa could come over and play. The girls always have so much fun, I feel bad for Drew, he gets left behind. Do you like Sofia's red hair? She has been asking for me to dye her hair red. We had a hard time getting her to take it off last night. First thing this morning she put it on. Thanks for such a great day.
I added some pictures from yesterday. Sofia got to dress up in her Halloween costume at preschool. We got her a dog costume, she was born in the year of the Dog. (Sofia got two costume this year, one for preschool and one she could wear on halloween.)
Last night our local FCC had a trunk/treat. So I have some pictures of that also. This has been a busy week. Sofia and Drew's first halloween party is tomorrow afternoon.

Forever Family Day

3 years ago today, we were in China meeting Sofia. We had waited and waited for her. And now that the wait is over the time goes by so fast. I can't believe it's been 3 years. When I first held Sofia in my arms it was like somebody scooped out a big piece of heaven and put it in my arms to hold. Thank you God, for letting us be Sofia's mommy and daddy. We are so blessed. We love you Sofia.

Some Catching Up

Alyssa invited Sofia to her dance class. Sofia really liked it. The girls listen so well to the teacher.
Sofia got the new Tinker Bell DVD. Thanks to you know who.....

Daddy raced over the weekend. His car was not like this when he left. I think he hit a few things. You would think that he would drive better than this since he's a police officer.
Our little Panda. Thanks for the outfit.
We have been busy. On Monday we went back to the Doctors. Drew and Sofia both have ear infections. On Tuesday, Sofia went to school. We found out that her costume has to be a animal. So I went shopping, I found a dog. It was only 8.00. I'll post photo's tomorrow.
Today, we went to grandma's to visit. Had a wonderful lunch. Thanks to the "Good Cooker"!! Tonight, we went to Alyssa's dance class. Sofia had so much fun. WE are looking at putting her in dance class. She liked the tap shoes the best, so if I can find just a tap class we will put her in it. It brought back memories when I was little, I was in ballet.

Fun, Shots, Cooking

Sofia shirt says Happy New Year in Chinese. We think she is sooooooooooo darn cute.
This week we had fun at grandma's. Grandma is always spoiling the kids. Sofia and Grandma read books, while Drew destroyed her house.

I took the kids to the doctors. Sofia and Drew both have been coughing a lot. And the medicine they got is gone. I took them in and Dr thinks it allergies. Just like mommy and daddy. The doctor asked if they had gotten the flu shot yet, I said no because I thought they were sick. Sofia got the swine flu mist, and the regular flu shot. Drew just got the regular flu shot. They were not happy after that. So tonight, I thought we should make rice crispy treats. I think I put way to much butter and marshmallow in them, I'll have daddy taste them when he gets home.

Pumpkin Carving

Tonight we had so much fun carving pumpkins. When I was taking the stuff out the pumpkin Drew would say "EWW". Sofia wanted to help me she wasn't afraid of the icky stuff. Sofia and Drew thought the tops would make good hats. So every picture that I have with them and the pumpkin they have the lids on there heads.
Can you tell what's on the pumpkin. (Just image what we used to carve the pumpkins. I'll give you a hint you can find the tools in your husbands tool box. We didn't have anything fancy to use.)
When the kids went to bed a baked the pumpkin seeds. Thanks Vicki for the sea salt. They taste a lot better with sea salt on them.

Lifelink Korean event

The kids enjoying the crafts.
Miss Lee, trying to hold Drew. He was very tired and hot, so I wasn't able to get a picture of her holding Drew.

The foster mothers and Social workers from Korea.
Today, we went to Bensenville, to see foster mothers and social workers from Eastern. We had a lot of fun. I know it would have been much more emotional if Drew's foster mother or social worker had come. I was very surprised by Miss Lee. She is one of the social workers, who remember Drew. When I was walking by she asked me what his name was. I told her and she said yes I remember him. She even knew he had been escorted and that he was going to be 2 in February. I was amazed that someone who see hundreds of children would pick Drew out of a crowed and remember so much about him. These woman are so amazing. We are forever grateful for all that they have done.
I'm seeing red right now. I just checked Drew's paperwork Miss Lee was his social worker. Lifelink really let us down. I'm so upset, we missed out on a meeting with her, because of someone at Lifelink.

Fun at Grandma's

Grandma little Devils....
Drew feeding Grandma.
The girls playing ring around the Rosie.
Time to go bye bye. Drew newest word is ARM, It's so cute.

Little Hollywood.
Today, I took the "all" the kids to grandma's. We had another open house. Grandma took us to our favorite Taco place. Alyssa and Sofia ate 3 taco's again. After lunch I took the kids home so they could take a nap. While we were gone the "fur grandchildren" were very naughty at grandma's. Grandma found her rugs shaken and a book torn to pieces. The "boys" might not be welcomed back. We will have to see what Grandma has to say.

Happy Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving)

Today we celebrated Chuseok. Thank you Rachel and Christopher, for opening up your house for the celebration. We had a wonderful day. It was so nice to see all the kids playing and having fun. If anyone who reads the blog got a better picture of the kids, could you email it to me. I have more pictures, but I thought these turned out the best.
