Advent Wreath

Sofia's newsletter from preschool had the direction to make this really neat advent wreath. We traced all of our hands and glued them together to make the wreath. I really love the idea. I couldn't find purple candles, so we went with maroon. The kids really enjoy lighting the candle each night. It always nice to have a family tradition. This will be one we will do every year.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today, we had lunch with grandma. Mom is always such a good cook, and she did a wonderful job today. We watch a DVD of old home video's after lunch. Mom and I broke the wishbone, she got the bigger half. I hope her wish was a good one. I didn't take many pictures, because I got a new camcorder. I'll post a video as soon as we figure out how too. We are so blessed on this day and everyday, we have a lot to be thankful for. I found this pray and I thought it was fitting for our family. Thank you, Father, for having created us and given us to each other in the human family.
Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness. Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives. Thank you for friends, for health and for grace. May we live this and every day conscious of all that has been given to us.

Wisconsin Dells

We meet the Pickles and Englers at the Wilderness resort on Tuesday. The water parks are so much fun, but they wear you out. We would love to go back with you guys. Maybe make it a annual event.

Drew's Baptism

Today we celebrated Drew Baptism. We asked Rachel and Christopher to be Drew's Godparents. Thank you for saying yes. We think you guys are awesome! Thank you all for such wonderful gifts. Thank you Kayla for taking the photo's today, you did a great job! (Drew was not his happy self today, so most of the pictures were of him having meltdowns) He was hot, hunger and tired. Thank you all for such a wonderful day. Today, O God, we are full of gratitude for all you have given us. — The Blessing Candles

Ballet and Tap class

These are some of the pictures from the first and second week of dance class. I have not be able to go yet, daddy has been taking her. I plan on going this week. We have been practicing some foot work at home. Sofia LOVES it.......

Some pictures before dance. Drew wants to do ballet. (Daddy says NO) We have to find some class that Drew can be in. Any suggestion for a one year old? Sofia says Thank You GR for finding the ballet slippers and leotard.

I found some of my old photo's when I was in ballet. I still remember some of the foot work. I wish there was a mommy and me ballet class. I would love to take it with Sofia. (I put these on the blog so people could get a good laugh)

{ps, we are getting somewhat better, I just can't believe how long this has lasted. I hope no one else gets sick}

Thanks for such a great family & friends

I just wanted to let everyone know that we have been very sick. Steve took 2 days off work to be home with the kids, so I could sleep. We also had an open house during this time. Which, Steve again did a great job helping with getting the house ready. My mom, took us all to the doctors yesterday. (Steve is in training for 3 days and was not able to take time off). Mom you have the patience of a Saint. Thank you to family and friends that helped and offered to help. You guys are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!

Drew and Sofia both have chest congestion with a red throat. When I was at the doctors on Thurs, I had a sinus infection. Yesterday, the doctor said I have pneumonia. The only good thing is none of us have the flu. They tested us all for both kinds. We were all negative. I hope with this new medicine, along with the shot I got, we will be better soon.

Playgroup at Sapora

We had a great time today. We had the whole place to ourselves. I love playdates. Drew was a little shy today. He stayed by my side, so I wasn't able to take very many pictures of the other kids or Sofia. He even got mad when I helped Dane.

Someone is ready for School. He put the backpack on all by himself. He wants to do everything Sofia does.
I caught him getting into the strawberry M&M's. He got the stool out of the bathroom, and carried it to the kitchen all by himself. I was in the bedroom getting dressed. He is very fast.
I just want to know how other families are doing with this time change. We are having a HARD time. This morning Drew was up at 5:45. A little secret I'll share, I'm not a morning person at all, never have been never will be. I get up at 7:30, and some days that is pushing it. I love my sleep. Anyways, you would think with Drew waking up that early he would be tired and want to sleep at nap time. NO he went down when we came home at 1:00 and about 20 minutes later he was up. He didn't fall back to sleep until 2:40. I finally woke him up at 3:45. I have another secret I take naps with the kids. So I didn't get my nap either. Thankfully he is sleeping right now. Lets pray he doesn't repeat the 5:45 tomorrow.

Fall Photo's

Today we took the kids to the park for some photo's. (Thanks Kris for the inspiration) I think we took about 200. After nap I wanted to take more so we just went out front. This year Sofia wasn't afraid of jumping in the leaves. Drew didn't like them at all. Maybe next year. I hope everyone was able to enjoy this beautiful fall day. I hope we have more.
