Sofia's first Dog show

We took Wrigley our Lab to a agility trial this weekend. We first went to the Lab speciality. He did good. He got a leg. He needs 3 legs to get a title. Then we went out to Boone county fairgrounds for another trial. He didn't get a leg with any of his runs. That's OK we still Love you Wrigley. Sofia had a lot of fun. Sofia liked Wrigley's dog crate better then he does.

Swimming

Big Day, Sofia turned 16mos yesterday. We have been home 7mos. So how did we celebrate? Sofia and I went over to Katelyn's house for a cookout. Jen and Kevin are leaving and we wanted to get together before they move. We went swimming. The swimming pool was 88. It was so nice. Sofia was scared at first. Katelyn is a little fish. The girls played so well together. We need to get together more often. I want Kevin and Vince to know I won't post the photo's they took with my camera while I was gone. But Kevin I have them saved.

Things we Learned this Week

1) Sofia likes rocks. She has to have one in each hand.
2) She walks up the slide and crawls down the steps. (with the rocks)
3) She can out eat Grandpa Ed
4) When Sofia plays outside she sleeps longer.
5) Sofia is such a Love Bug. She knows how to work you with the hugs and Kisses. She has been doing this for awhile.
6) Sofia likes the lawn mower. The neighbor said she needs one.
On a side note Laura our SW called and said they got referrals this week. One family will be going to Sofia's SWI. We have already began emailing the family. How neat is that.

Brewers VS Cubs

On Monday, mommy and daddy went to Miller Park in Milwaukee. The cubs won. The park is really nice. Daddy is going back on Wednesday. Grandma watched Sofia. Grandma said Sofia is just the cats meow.

The start of the Weekend

Last night we took Sofia and the boys for a walk. Our neighbor gave Sofia a hat. She loves this hat and was putting it on and taking it off all night. Thanks Jade. Then the big event. Ty our Akita got out of the fence. He somehow bent the fence and climb out. Lucky for us the neighbor girl came and got us. Ty only made it to the front yard. Thank God. So we had to fix that. Today Sofia became the most spoiled child there is. She got a play set. Thanks to you know who. We won't mention any one's name. I think the person wants to remain anonymous. If she wants I will let you know who she is. Sofia loves the steps, slide and the door that opens and closes. Sofia wanted me to tell the person Thank you and that She LOVES YOU!!!! Sofia's New Sippy Cup

I hope that DCFS is not called. Look at what Sofia found. She went to the boys water bowl and was drinking out of it. That's her new sippy cup. Just kidding, I hope everyone can see the humor in the photo's. We have since removed the bowls from her reach. Sofia feel asleep while eating today. She has never done this. I guess she was tired of my cooking. Ha Ha. Sofia had a visitor today. Sofia's grandma and grandpa T came over to see her today.

Sad News

We got some sad news yesterday. We met Kevin and Jenn at a waiting family group. And have been friends ever since. They came over yesterday to tell us they are moving. I still can't believe it. I was hoping when they got there daughter we would get together more. I'm sad, happy and jealous. Sad there leaving, happy for them, and jealous I would love to move out of state. Just don't know which state to move too. We will keep in touch and once they get there daughter we will be the first one's asking when are you coming back or when can we come see the baby.

Memorial Day

Today Sofia went to her first car auction. Don't worry we didn't buy any cars. Sofia liked the print out of the cars being auction off. Can't you tell. Aunt Tina and Uncle Lyle had a party for Memorial day. We ate and had fun playing with the swing set. Thanks Grandma!!! Sofia loved playing with the boys. Aunt Tina even supplied the clothes for Sofia and Alyssa. Sofia was giving Alyssa a kiss in the one picture,

Family Photo's

We went to JC Penny's to have pictures taken. Wow what an experience that was. They thought you could sit a 15 month old down and she would stay put. Not!!! We will not be going back to JC Penny's for any photo's. We did get some good pictures. But the stress of the whole thing was not worth the time or money we spent. A couple of people said to try Target next time. That is if there is a next time. No just kidding we will get pictures taken again. I'll post photo's from JC Penny's when we get them back.
Today Sofia learned if you step on Wrigley and use him as a foot stool you can climb on the couch. Lucky Wrigley does not care. We try not to let her do this.
I also had the task of looking at all of the photo's I have taken since Sofia came home. We have to send 16 photo's to China. It took over an hour at Walmart looking at disk after disk to find just the right pictures. And just when I thought I had them Steve decided we need more with the three of us. Well it's kinda of hard to take family snap shots, unless we can teach the boys to take pictures.

Sofia's busy weekend

This weekend we enjoyed the swimming pool. Sofia would love a bigger one, but our yard is too small for a big pool. Sofia was a lucky girl and got a truck like Brody's. She loved this little car that Brody had. So Daddy bought her one. Today Aunt Tina, Alyssa, Sofia and I went to the bike path and the park. The girls enjoyed the walk. Grandma Rockton got a picnic table for the girls. Sofia thought it was lunch time when I sat her down at the table. She loves to eat.

Doctor Visit

Today Sofia had her 15 month doctors visit. She was better with the Doc. She did cry when he checked her ears. In China she did not like her ears checked. The nurse gave her two shots. She was not happy at all. Poor little Sofia. Sofia weighs 21 pounds, she is 31 inches and her head measurement was 45. For her weight and head circumference she is in the 25% range, and for length she is in the 75%.

Home

We got home today. Sofia LOVED Florida. She loved the beach. Uncle Nick took her in the ocean. She is such a little water baby. Tonight she cried because she wanted to take a bath. Brody and Sofia got along great. They are both such cuties. Uncle Nick asked Sofia do you want to stay. I said No. We have to go back so she can play with Brody and go to the beach. We had such a great time and hope to get back soon. I only took 390 photo's. That is only one camera. Grandma had over 300 on hers. The blog only lets you put so many on a page.

Florida

The day before we leave. Sofia and I enjoyed playing outside today. I got a little sun. Not bad just a little pink. Aunt Tina came to visit before we left and gave Sofia a little spending money for the trip. We watched our DVD of China. Wow Sofia has changed. I'm bringing it to Florida, in case Aunt Leigh and Uncle Nick want to watch it. Tonight we are going to pack.

Weekend Summary

On Saturday, we went to Gymboree for the last time. The gymboree in our area is closing on May 25Th. Sofia really liked going. Saturday night we went out to eat at Famous Dave's. Daddy and Mommy met 9 years ago today. On Sunday daddy went down to Byron to watch grandpa race his truck. Sofia and I went with grandma and grandpa to Fudruckers for lunch. We also went shopping but Sofia was too slow and didn't get her red wagon in the cart fast enough. She did get a pair of pants. They match mine. We will have to take some pictures and post. Sofia, Grandma and I leave in 3 days to Florida. We can't wait to see Brody, Aunt Leigh and Uncle Nick.

Dentist Visit

Today daddy had a dentist appointment. So Sofia and I went. Dr. Vaughn said he would take a look at Sofia. Well Sofia didn't like the gloves he had on. So he got one peek and that was it. He said everything looks good from what he could see. He gave Sofia a new toothbrush. We talked about what we were doing at home. He said we are doing everything right. (First time parents) I should quote him as saying. We also went to the park with the boys.

Playdate

Today Sofia and I went to Alpine park for a play date. We met Rachel, Jackie and Kelly. I was asked a funny question from one of the moms not in our playgroup. She wanted to know if all of our husbands were Asian. I said no that we had all adopted. After she left I thought I should of said yes, we are all sister-in-laws. Sofia didn't want to share and had a couple of melt downs. I think Sofia has hit her terrible two's at age 15mos. I love playgroups Sofia needs the interaction with kids her age. I found out today Sofia does not like the swing.
