We had lots of fun today at the park. It was a little cold, the kids didn't seem to mind.

Shedd Aquarium

Today we went to Shedd Aquarium. The kids all had fun. I think Sofia was a little scared when the dolphins came at her. Sofia and Alyssa really liked the penguins. Which didn't surprise me since Sofia loves the move Happy Feet.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend. We sure did. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for having us over for a cookout. Drew had a first today. He gave Grandma and Aunt Tina a kiss. On a side note, Steve lost his Aunt Kay this weekend. She was a special woman and we always enjoyed our time with her. She will be missed.

Busy Wednesday

Today, we took Drew to get served for our refinalization. I brought the camera, and the old guy told me I couldn't take any pictures. So we didn't get any of Drew being served.
After that Drew had a doctors appointment for a consultation.
After dinner tonight I cut "the boys" hair. Drew needed a hair cut, he sweats so much. This summer is going to be a rough one for him I can already tell.
We were watching American Idol and Sofia was so happy to see Fergie. She loves her. She was singing and dancing just like her.
For our bed time story, we read the book grandma got us. "I wished for you" an adoption story... We all enjoyed the book. If your looking for a good book I would recommend this one.

Police Week and a Quilt Show

Daddy and Drew went to the mall. It's police week, so the mall was packed with police cars. They even got smokey the bear hats. (Aren't they all so cute) They also went to toy's R us. Daddy picked out some really cute outfits for the kids this summer. They boys had lots of fun together.

Sofia eating taco's for the second time this week. She LOVES taco's. She would eat them every day if we let her.

Grandma showing the girls the quilts. The quilt they are pointing at had a a saying on it. It said "over the river through the woods to grandma's house we go" Sofia and I lots of fun today. We hope to go to more quilt shows this year.

Taco's, 2 Parks and a Baseball Game (Busy Week)

Grandma and Grandpa took us to our favorite taco place. Thanks you for the fun day.

We went to the park on Tuesday. We met Mary and her kids, Grandma and Grandpa, Alyssa and Amnesty and Aunt Tina. We had lots of fun, we really enjoyed our picnic.

The one and only photo I took at daddy's baseball game. Sofia didn't want to watch the game she wanted to play at the playground. She told daddy she would watch him next week. (We will see) Daddy's team won!!!

Today, we met our friends at the park. Thanks Rachel for taking all the boys down the slide. I love the picture of Sofia looking up at Michael. (Her future husband) We had so much fun today. Thanks everyone. We had such a wonderful week.

"Questions"

I just wanted to share some of the questions we were asked. We were at a restaurant, and here are some of the questions that we were asked. We were shocked that we had so many questions and comments. I hope this is not a everyday event. I just can't believe some people.

This one was from a waitress (not even ours)
1) Are you there parents?
We said Yes
2) "Are they "REAL" brother and sister"
We said Yes.

Another waitress: (not even ours)
"Are they twins????"
What I wanted to say "do you see the size difference"
What I said was she is 3 and he's 1.

A customer asked us
"Are they "REAL" brother and sister."
We said Yes.
"Oh what are there names?"
We told them this is Sofia and Drew
"Oh they are sure cute"

Happy Mothers Day

All my kids.... I have the BEST KIDS in the whole wide world......

Today, daddy and the kids took me to breakfast. Sofia told me she loved me all day long along with Happy Mothers Day. She is so sweet. Grandma Linda stopped by to see us.

After lunch and naps we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner. Thank you mom for cooking for us. The food was very good as always.

I have to say I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful mom. I hope that one day my kids say the same about me. I learned to be a mom from one of the best in the world. I love you mom. Happy Mothers Day to all the moms, daughters and soon to be moms......

Today was my nephew Brody's birthday. Happy 3rd birthday Brody. We miss you. Come back and visit soon.

Sofia's first time fishing.....(Thank you Donna and Terry)

Sofia's first fish... Sofia did really well. She was able to reel in the fish. Daddy asked her if she wanted to kiss the fish, she said no way. But on the way home she wanted to know why her fish wasn't coming home with her.

Sofia also got to collect eggs, and see the baby kitty's. Sofia and Drew wanted to go swimming in the hot tub....
